Tomato sauce, this time a la papá

Summer time and holiday are still in Czech Republic. Last days is really hot weather and our time is getting shorter here, soon me and Canito are going back home – to London. Today, we prepared tomato sauce with pasta. I have mentioned already once about typical Czech dish – tomato sauce with pulled beef and pasta. However this time, the recipe is slightly different than I am usually cooking at home.

What do you need for sauce preparation:

already prepared beef broth and water

250 g of tomatoes

2 carrots

10 pieces of allspice

10 pieces of peppers

10 pieces of clove

2 pieces of bay leave

salt and brown sugar

grounded cinnamon

3 spoons of flour

1 bag of pasta

cooked beef

As I mentioned previously, I like this meal quite a lot. This time, I have seen different recipe, directly prepared from tomatoes. It is not difficult and does not take that much time. The longest preparation is for beef broth. However, I usually prepare beef broth while preparing soup. This time it was not different 🙂

Once you have your beef and beef broth ready, you can start with sauce preparation. Put grated carrots into the pot with oil and fry it a bit. When done, add cut tomatoes and pour 1 liter of beef broth. While cooking, add salt, 2 spoons of sugar and all spices except cinnamon and gingerbread. Bring it to boil and cook it until tomatoes are overcooked. When overcooked and soft, add flour mixed in water and boil around 30 – 40 minutes. Sieve the tomato sauce and finish it with addition pinch of cinnamon, spoon of gingerbread, brown sugar and salt according to your taste. Let it cook next 5 – 10 minutes. Serve it with pasta and beef 🙂

Get the heart of your man and enjoy it!
