Not long time ago I came from holiday in Czech Republic, where I stayed with my family. Who does not know, Czech Republic is right in the heart of Europe and it has many beautiful places, not only Prague. I did not grow up in the place where my parents live now. It is small nice village (around 820 inhabitants, however together with the other village) just below mountains with its own magic 🙂
This small place is called Třebovětice and it is situated in Podkrkonoší. Podkrkonoší is the name for the area of Bohemia in the southern foothills of the Giant Mountains. The wavy landscape is adjacent to the west with the Bohemian Paradise and in the south with the flat surroundings of city called Hradec Králové. The highest and most famous peak is Zvičina (671 m above sea level, but it is not the highest peak of Krkonošské foothills as a geomorphological complex), however great to take a bike and have exercise and enjoy the nature!
To be honest, I really love that area… It is so relaxing to come from busy London and get in touch with nature, chat with your neighbours through the fence, play in the playground in front of the fire station (as the biggest attraction for kids) 🙂
Like from the old movies, our small village has one small store with everything with fresh bread only in the morning and closed weekends (or only open during the Saturday morning). Unfortunately, you cannot find a pub there, so people gather in fire station when some celebrations are happening and then you can get pint of beer or something stronger 🙂 With picture show below, I would like to welcome you in small Bohemian village below mountains…
And the last stop in our village is my parent´s house… and their garden. During this time, it is necessary to prepare it for winter – cut the grass for the last time in the year, collect leaves from fruits trees and have fun with good glass of wine and last warm sun.
And that is place where I love to go for holiday and relax from all stress around… 🙂
