Pita bread with shredded pork with tzaziki

It is not that long time ago when I have prepared pita bread. This week I chose it for dinner again, just with different fillings. One of my previous posts was about cochinita pibil tacos and slowly cooked pork meat. As I have prepared around 2 kg, quite decent amount has left. Therefore it was a good choice for shredded pork pita bread πŸ™‚


What do you need:

pita breadΒ 

shredded pork (already prepared as I did or 500 g pork meat and prepared as mentioned here)

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 handful of parsley

1 cucumber

salt and pepper

fresh lime juice

vegetables – tomatoes, lettuce, baby spinach, cucumbers, radish (as much as possibilities you wish)



This pita bread for dinner is really quick and mainly if you have meat ready or using just leftovers. If you do not have ready meat, start with its preparation. In the mean time, prepare tzaziki. Which means – mix Greek yogurt with grated cucumber and finely chopped parley leaves in bowl. Add salt and pepper and mix it properly again. At the end, squeeze lime and add spoon of lime juice into the yogurt mix. The last thing is just to cut all vegetables which you want to use. Then you can pack your pita bread! Cut pita bread, put tzaziki as a first layer, then vegetables and meat at the end πŸ™‚ Delicious, light and quick dinner!
