Friday! The end of the working week is here and I was thinking what to prepare for dinner. I remembered that I always liked when my parents prepared fried cauliflower. Simple, easy, delicious and… healthy if you do not eat it tons π So from time to time, perfectly fine and balanced! π
What do you need:Β
1 whole cauliflower
6 eggs (or how much is necessary)
1 cup flour
1 – 2 bread crumbs (or how much is needed, depends on size of cauliflower and how much do you prepare)
potatoes (I usually use 2 – 3 per person for potato mash)
salt
oil
vegetables for salad aside
Firstly, cut cauliflower into smaller pieces (flowers) and steam them for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. When ready, let it cool down and in the mean time, prepare 3 bowls. In the first one whisk 4 eggs at the beginning with salt (afterwards, you can add more if needed), to the second one put the flour and the last one is for bread crumbs. When is cauliflower cooled down, take every piece and “wrap” it eggs, flour and at the end in bread crumbs. When ready, preheat the oven to 180 degrees take a pan suitable for oven, add oil and heat it up. When hot, add pieces of crumbled cauliflower and fry it. When frying cauliflower, boil potatoes and make a mash. Additionally, you can make a salad as a side dish π
Enjoy!

Great idea – and such a healthy veggie creation, something I’ll experiment with for sure, but I may try baking rather than frying – although the end result wouldn’t likely be as good….
