Singapore noodles is my favourite Chinese takeaway dish or dish when going to Chinese restaurant. However this time, I have decided to prepare it by myself. No matter where does it have an origin, it definitely has noodles, vegetables, meat and it is incredibly delicious and easy to prepare.
What do you need:
rice noodles (thin or vermicelli) – I had both so I mixed it
250 g chicken breasts
250 g pork loin
1 red pepper
150 g green beans
2 pak choi
4 garlic cloves
jalapenos (if you like spicy)
Firstly, slice your meat into thin pieces – chicken and pork. Take a big Wok pan, add oil and when heated up add slices of meat. Add curry powder (approximately 2 table spoons, however it depends on your preference). Fry until soft and crispy. In the mean time, cut onion into slices as well as pepper. When is meat ready, remove it from the pan. Add sliced onion, red pepper and green beans and fry it approximately 10 minutes. Crush garlic cloves and add them into the pan together with pak choi leaves. At the end add soy sauce. In the pot aside cook vermicelli noodles or thin rice noodles. I had both, so I mixed them. When ready, drain noodles and add them to the pan with vegetables, mix everything properly and add meat back to the pan. Add more soy sauce if needed and you can serve with lime juice and sprinkled chillies (I had jalapenos from our garden).
Then just enjoy this delicious dish! I will be thinking twice next time if to get a Singapore noodles takeaway or rather prepare my own 🙂 (I guess the answer is – my own as it was delicious.)
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
